  i'll always be grateful to the australian royal commission for allowing us to see this duplicitous, lying, creep, shown up as a snivelling, suck up, asshole, taken completely out of his self appointed authoritarian comfort zone.. anyway, a not too interesting broadcast i have to say..

  In fact, according to an interesting article in the Italian ex-jw website Geova.org, the scriptures suggest that the bread passed around at the last supper was not the unleavened matzoh of the Jewish Passover (azuma in Greek) but rather the common everyday generic leavened loaf (arton) . This is true in all three Gospel references to the Last Supper of Matthew 26:26, Mark 14:22 and Luke 22:19. It's the same word employed in Matthew 4:4 when Satan urged Jesus to turn stones into bread (arton) and Matt. 7:9 when God would never give a child asking for bread a stone.   many posters quote geoffrey jackson as saying " it would be presumptuous" to say that the gb is jehovah's sole spokesperson on earth.. what he actually said was that "it would seem to be quite presumptuous".

  this is actually very clever, as adding "seem" to the sentence leaves the possibility that it isn't presumptuous to call themselves "jehovah's sole channel".

  (at least in their eyes).

  years ago when i was "in" i loved the book study.

  it was my favorite meeting by far.

  mainly because it was a small group.

  There was a lot of post-meeting banter among the friends who hung around after the closing prayer for cookies, etc. which I think unnerved the control freaks. Looking back it's another step in the "top-down" plan to centralize and inhibit individual expression.

  just a few observations from this morning.

  .. this morning as i was trying to choke back the bile that kept wanting to come up during the wt study one comment in particular screamed cult.. towards the very end as comments were being made about "counseling" others with "gracious" words one of the uber-dub minstral-serpents made this comment, "we see in the last image that the brother is holding a bible as he counsels the other brother.

  we look closely at the picture and we can know exactly what he is counseling the brother about.

  as we all know, armageddon was just around the corner in 1974. at the district conventions that year, it was announced that there would be two special meetings during the month of september; one would be for interested people (e.g., bible studies, family members, inactive, etc.

  ), and the other would be for baptized publishers.

  these were to be held in place of the service meetings for the two weeks, iirc.
